Bookworms at Timber Grove Elementary School – VIRTUAL

Join Bookworms to share in the gift of reading during a series of monthly reading sessions with kindergarten through first grade students at Timber Grove Elementary School.

Volunteers will read 1-2 books to a kindergarten, first or second grade classroom from the comfort of their home computer. Virtual reading will be done through Google Meet and the volunteer needs a computer with reliable Wi-Fi. Volunteers will receive a Google Meet link as well as assigned reading time and classroom prior to the Bookworms session. Reading sessions will take place at either 10:00 or 10:30am on the monthly dates below. **UPDATE- we are now in need of a couple additional volunteers to read at 10:00am to a 2nd grade classroom. 

Restrictions: *Baltimore County Public Schools (BCPS) requires volunteers to complete a brief volunteer training that can be done online at BCPS Volunteers – Division of Chief of Staff. Volunteers must email a certificate and verification to school faculty member, Stephanie, at sblockston@bcps.org, before you can volunteer .

Participate as often as you are available! Volunteers reading to kindergarten and 1st grade classrooms will read at 10:30 am. Volunteers reading to 2nd grade classrooms will read at 10:oo am. All Bookworms sessions take place on the following Wednesdays:
