Distributing food on the Salvation Army truck

I have been on the board for several years and have participated in Good Deeds Day, Day of Service and Bunches of Lunches

How have you found volunteering to be meaningful in your life?

When you give back to the community, you feel the satisfaction of knowing you are participating in repairing the world.

What advice would you give to other volunteers? What would you tell someone who may be nervous to commit or is new to volunteering?

There is something that each of us can do. Try to find something that connects to your values, interests and talents. Reach and talk to program leaders or participants to help you find a good fit for you.

Reading

Morning

What do you think is the best way for individual volunteers to become volunteer group leaders?
I think that if you let it be known that you are interested there will be an opportunity. Organizations need leaders.
