Sixth Branch and Civic Works Neighborhood Cleanup!
9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
1100 Brentwood Place, Baltimore
Civic Works will be working on several projects in the Hoffman St Green Corridor. We will be serving alongside the residents of the Lillian Jones Apartment Building on the Proctor St Garden: building a path, putting an edge around a garden bed, and clearing an alley. We will also work with the 6th Branch in doing a neighborhood-wide cleanup!
Volunteer Restrictions: If under 18, need parental consent.

Help Distribute Surveys for Living Classrooms

Help Living Classrooms distribute surveys to the communities they work in. Speak with residents of East Baltimore, while learning about their needs and wants within their community. Volunteers will receive an overview of Living Classroom’s Workforce Development Programs as well as training before going out into the community.

MLK Day Mitzvah Room at Park Heights JCC

Join JVC at the Weinberg Park Heights JCC and join in on some family-friendly service activities! Help make bagged meals, winter blessing bags, and more to benefit people experiencing homelessness this winter. Make this a day on, not a day off, for your family!
Volunteer Restrictions: all ages!

Beans and Bread- Prepare and Serve Lunch! PROJECT CLOSED
10:30 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.

Volunteers will help serve a meal to the homeless and hungry guests of this Resource Center located in Fells Point.
Volunteer Restrictions: 13+ and accompanied by an adult if under the age of 18.
Volunteer Capacity: 12 volunteers are needed.

Helping Up Mission- Serve Lunch! PROJECT CLOSED

Volunteers are needed to help serve a meal for the clients of The Helping Up Mission.  The Helping Up Mission is both a day center and an overnight shelter for men in need.

Winter Social with Seniors at Woodholme Gardens

Join other volunteers to help serve treats, play games, or create crafts with the residents at Woodholme Gardens. The whole family is welcome!

Festival at Sarah’s Hope at Mount Street

Help run a festival for the children at Sarah’s Hope at Mount Street! Play games, create crafts, and more! Sarah’s Hope is a shelter for families experiencing homelessness.
Volunteer Restrictions: Age 13+, with parent if under 18

Weinberg Housing and Resource Center – Serve Dinner
4:00 – 7:30 p.m.

Volunteers are needed to help serve dinner for the clients of Weinberg Housing and Resource Center.  WHRC is an emergency shelter that provides homeless services to over 275 men and women each night in the city of Baltimore.
Volunteer Capacity: 10 volunteers

Interfaith Dialogue and Food Pantry Collection
5:30 -7:00 p.m.
Muslim Community Culutral Center of Baltimore, 3401 W. North Ave.
Join the Baltimore Jewish Council, Repair the World & the Muslim community cultural center of Baltimore (MCCCB) for a discussion on the legacy of interfaith partnership in the civil rights movement & the path forward. All participants are asked to bring 4-5 donations for the MCCCB Food Pantry.

The Maccabeats and Naturally 7 at the Gordon Center
Sunday, January 15th
1:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m.
Come see internationally-acclaimed A cappella and vocal play groups, The Maccabeats and Naturally 7, for their first ever live concert together! Before each show, volunteers will be assembling hand warmers to give to seniors and firefighters in our community. We will also be collecting used shoes to benefit Knafayim, an organization that provides free and low cost counseling services to the Jewish community.  To learn more and purchase tickets- go here:
