Bunches of Lunches One-Year Anniversary. Engage directly with recipient organizations about the impact of your donations, explore your “why,” and hear from fellow volunteers. It’s been an amazing year since Bunches of Lunches became community-wide on April 27, 2020—over 50,000 meals donated and 580 volunteer households participating. Celebrate this success and learn about why this program continues to be important.

We will be making soup kits to help feed individuals and families in need of healthy and hearty meals. This is a fun family-friendly activity where we can support each other while compiling kits, learning about how this benefits those in need, and discussing Jewish values. Please make sure you buy a JVC Soup Kit Supply kit before committing to this virtual event.

Join JVC’s Virtual Party With A Purpose to make Zentangling cards with supportive messages for donation. Zentangling is a “meditative doodling,” a form of creating something while focusing on the present moment. Through a series of strokes, a creative facilitator will guide you to create beautiful tangles to decorate notes/cards. No prior art experience required. Ages 9-adult.

We will be making hand-sewn face masks to help keep the hospice and elder-care clients at Gilchrist safe. Leader Jon Jensen will guide volunteers through the mask-making process—then, volunteers can create even more masks on their own! Volunteers must know how to hand-sew.
