Serve Christmas Breakfast at My Sister’s Place Women’s Center

Volunteers are needed to reheat, serve a meal, set up, clean up, and socialize with women and children residing at My Sister’s Place Women’s Center. My Sister’s Place Women’s Center is a day resource center for women and children in Baltimore City.  

*Volunteer Restrictions: Volunteers must be at least 14 years old and have a parent/guardian present. Volunteers 16 and older do not need a parent/guardian present.  

 

Morning Art Workshop at My Sister’s Place Women’s Center

Volunteers are needed to lead an art project for women and children residing at My Sister’s Place Women’s Center. The art workshop will be set up ahead of time by My Sister’s Place Women’s Center staff; volunteers will assist where needed and will encourage residents to participate. My Sister’s Place Women’s Center is a day resource center for women and children in Baltimore City.  

*Volunteer Restrictions: Volunteers must be at least 14 years old and have a parent/guardian present. Volunteers 16 and older do not need a parent/guardian present.  

 

Serve Christmas Lunch at Our Daily Bread Employment Center

 Volunteers are needed to serve food, clean tables, plate food, and sort donations at Our Daily Bread. Our Daily Bread provides legal services, lunch, healthcare services, case management, and employment assistance to adults in need. 

*Volunteer Restrictions: Volunteers must be at least 14 years old. Any volunteer under 14 years old must be accompanied by a parent/guardian. Volunteers should bring/wear a hat if they would rather not wear a hairnet. Volunteers must be able to stand for approximately 4 hours. 

Service Project for Families with Young Children

Pikesville, MD (Location sent upon registration)

 Join our Pikesville Community Connector, Brooke Berman, as we spend Christmas Day doing a service project for families with young children. We will be creating Mugs of Love, which are decorated mugs filled with tea bags, candies, and/or cookies. Your beautiful mugs will be donated to our friends at Beans and Bread, Community Crisis Center, Inc., Manna House, My Sisters Place and other organizations.

Volunteers are needed to reheat, serve a meal, and socialize with men residing at The Baltimore Station. The Baltimore Station is an innovative therapeutic residential treatment program supporting veterans and others transitioning through the cycle of poverty, addiction, and homelessness to self-sufficiency. 

 *Volunteer Restrictions: Volunteers must be at least 8 years old. Any volunteer under 18 must be accompanied by a parent/guardian.

Volunteers are needed to reheat, serve a meal, and socialize with families residing at Hannah More Family Shelter. Hannah More Family Shelter is a comprehensive, short-term shelter for families in Baltimore County.

*Volunteer Restrictions: Volunteers must be at least 13 years old. Anyone under 16 must be accompanied by a parent/guardian. Volunteers must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
