Live With Purpose Casserole Challenge

Join JVC for our annual Casserole Challenge! On Tuesday, November 30, JVC will be collecting casseroles made by volunteers like you and donating them to several of our nonprofit and school partners including Manna House, Living Classrooms, Maree G. Farring Elementary School, and so many others. We will be collecting all day, all around Baltimore so choose the collection that works best for you and get cooking!

Supplies needed:

Disposable casserole tin (usually 12 x 10 inches)
Ingredients for your favorite casserole dish

*The COVID-19 pandemic represents a particularly high risk for people who are already experiencing food and housing insecurity, as they are more likely to lack access to medical care and experience complications. For that reason, we require all volunteers to take extra precautions in preparing these meals. Please wash your hands and clean all surfaces before preparing the meals and volunteers should wear gloves and cloth masks while preparing the meals.

Make your favorite casserole/meal in the casserole tin.
Place a label on the cover of the casserole with an explanation of what you made and any key ingredients or common allergens.
Freeze casseroles or make sure they are freshly delivered on TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 30.

Learn more about the issue of hunger and food insecurity and use discussion questions with your family/group!
