Workforce Development Tutors at Helping Up Mission

Helping Up Mission is a 24/7 shelter in the Jonestown neighborhood of Baltimore City for men, women, and children experiencing addiction, homelessness, or poverty.

Volunteers are needed provide tutoring in adult literacy, math, and high school GED to clients at the Center for Women & Children who are participating in workforce development training.  Volunteers may also be asked to teach computer literacy classes (over a six-week period).

Commitment: Six-week period (classes take place 1 hour for 1-2 days per week). Class time is flexible.

Location: Baltimore City/Downtown Baltimore (Jonestown neighborhood)

Restrictions: Volunteers must be at least 18 years old and complete a background check (cost of $19). Volunteers must identify as female. Resume required.
