Organize Book Donations at the Book Shuk

The Book Shuk, located in the Owings Mills JCC, is seeking volunteers to organize and sort donated books. The Book Shuk (in conjunction with The Jewish Library of Baltimore) is a free lending library filled with Jewish books, including historical fiction, biographies and memoirs, holiday books, and more.

Volunteers are needed on a weekly or monthly basis to sort/organize donations and shelve books according to genre.

Commitment: once/week or once/month for a few hours

Location: Owings Mills/Reisterstown

Restrictions: Volunteers must be at least 18 years old. Volunteers must be able to work independently. Staff will provide training/orientation the first volunteer session, but sessions afterwards will not have supervision. Knowledge of library cataloging, and various book genres preferred.
