I Am MENtality Youth Male Empowerment Project is looking for mentors!
I Am MENtality Youth Male Empowerment Project endeavors to empower youth in the community to make positive life choices that enable them to maximize their potential. The mentoring program uses adult/youth volunteers to commit to supporting, guiding, and being a friend to a young person.
Mentors are needed to take the lead in supporting a young person through an ongoing, one-to-one or group mentoring relationship. Volunteers are asked to make a one-year commitment and spend a minimum of 4 hours per month with the program.
Volunteers also will attend an initial two-hour training session and additional twelve hours of training each year of participation in the program.
Commitment: minimum of 4 hours per month
Location: Baltimore City/Downtown (Hampden neighborhood)
Restrictions: Must be at least 18 years old and pass a criminal background check. Volunteers must have access to a car and live in the Baltimore metro area.
