Helping Up Mission provides hope to people experiencing homelessness, poverty or addiction by meeting their physical, psychological, social and spiritual needs.
Volunteers are needed to help with meal service at the following times.
Breakfast: M-Sa 6-8 a.m. or Sun 6:30-8:00 a.m.
Lunch: M-Sa. 11 a.m. -1:00p.m. or Sun 12-2:00 p.m.
Dinner: Every day 5:00 – 7:00 p.m
Helping Up Mission is currently accommodating 2-3 volunteers per meal. All appropriate COVID protocols are in place to keep you and their clients safe. They will provide a COVID pre-screen form for volunteers to fill our prior, take your temperature upon arrival and provide protective gear, if needed.
Commitment: Volunteers are asked to commit to at least one meal.
Location: Baltimore City/ Downtown (Jonestown neighborhood)
Restrictions: For the men’s center, volunteers must be at least 16 years old and accompanied by an adult. For the women’s center, volunteers must be at least 18 years old and female only. All volunteers must complete $19 background check (either volunteers pay full price, or divides price with Helping Up Mission).
