Library Volunteer at Helping Up Mission

Helping Up Mission is a 24/7 shelter in the Jonestown neighborhood of Baltimore City for men, women, and children experiencing addiction, homelessness, or poverty.

Volunteers are needed to assist and oversee daily operations in the new library at the Center for Women & Children. Tasks include checking out and returning book loans, straightening and shelving books.

Commitment:  Shifts take place Monday-Friday from 2:30-4:30pm (one-time and ongoing opportunities available)

Location: Baltimore City/Downtown (Jonestown neighborhood)

Restrictions: Volunteers must be at least 18 years old, identify as female, and complete a background check ($19). Maximum of 1 volunteer for each shift. Volunteer orientation and library training required.
