Volunteering as a Kitchen Assistant at Moveable Feast puts you right in the middle of all the culinary action. Moveable Feast prepares over 400,000 meals annually and we rely heavily on volunteers to help carry out our mission and complete the preparation and packaging of these lifesaving meals. Because of volunteers, we can serve over 4,000 clients across the Maryland state. All meals prepared have a direct impact on the health and livelihood of our clients. Kitchen Assistants help with food preparation, meal packaging, and cleaning up. Here, your hands help prepare meals that save lives!

Volunteers must be fully vaccinated and be willing to provide a photo of vaccination card.

Commitment: Flexible dates based on organization’s need and volunteer’s availability, currently Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursdays from 9am-1pm

Restrictions: Volunteers must be 18 years old (14-17 can volunteer with parental/guardian supervision).  Volunteer Services and Kitchen Managers provide on the spot orientation and training.
