Health and Wellness Center Volunteer at Helping Up Mission

Helping Up Mission is a 24/7 shelter in the Jonestown neighborhood of Baltimore City for men, women, and children experiencing addiction, homelessness, or poverty.

Volunteers are needed to help in the fitness center at the Center for Women & Children. Tasks include:

  •  supporting a safe, fun, friendly experience
  •  participating in physical activities
  • assisting in demonstrating proper workout techniques in the fitness center
  • working with clients to keep the fitness center clean, safe, and tidy.

Commitment: Monday mornings (8-8:45am) and/or Friday afternoons (2-4pm)

Location: Baltimore City/Downtown (Jonestown neighborhood)

Restrictions: Volunteers must be at least 18 years old and certified in CPR. Volunteers must complete a background check ($19). Volunteers must identify as female.  Certification as a personal trainer/fitness instructor is preferred but not required. Volunteers should be familiar with fitness equipment and moves. Maximum of 1 volunteer needed.
