Jewish Community Services (JCS) is looking for volunteers to teach Echo Dot technology to adults!
Jewish Community Services is seeking tech savvy, patient volunteers for a new program which will train adults in the set-up, use and applications of the Amazon Echo (DOT). This is a rewarding virtual volunteer opportunity which will enable adults to learn new skills and maintain their independence. All adult participants will be provided with an Echo Dot, will need to have access to Wi-Fi, an Amazon account, and a smart device on which to download the Amazon Alexa App. The instruction may involve any of the above functions relating to the set-up of the dot.
Volunteers will be trained in best practices about how to work with and teach adults. Volunteers will provide participants with remote training and support on the most user-friendly commands for Alexa. This program will enable the participants to improve their ability to connect with technology and may be an ongoing opportunity to encourage and support them.
Commitment: Short-term, flexible time commitment
Restrictions: Volunteers should be College age and up.
Interview, references, criminal background check, orientation and training will be provided by JCS Staff
