Volunteers needed as Cat Socializers and Exercisers!  Volunteers socialize and handle cats to improve the animals’ mental and physical health. Cat Socializers/Exercisers will spend time interacting with the cats by grooming, petting, handling, and playing while the cat is in his/her cage or in the BHS visitation room. Communicate with the staff to report any concerns (litter box accidents, signs of illness, behavior changes, etc). Follow all BHS cleaning and handling protocols. Log all socialization/exercise time on the Cattery Socialization Board.

Commitment: Flexibility based on organization’s need and volunteer’s availability.
Location: Baltimore Humane Society
Restrictions: Must be attentive to detail and be able to follow direction closely. Child “helpers” must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at all time.
