Ulman Foundation provides support and housing to young adults experiencing cancer.

Ulman Foundation is seeking volunteer ”sherpas” or running partners for their Cancer to 5K program.

The Cancer to 5K program provides a community of support for cancer patients and survivors through a free 12-week training program. Cancer to 5K is much like an active support group for cancer patients and survivors. CT5K has 7 teams in the DMV area. Anne Arundel County, Baltimore City, Carroll County, D.C., Harford County, Howard County, and Montgomery County. You will be walking, jogging or running with a cancer patient/survivor as you train together for a goal race! The Cancer to 5K program provides a community of support for cancer patients and survivors through a free 12-week training program.

Commitment: training program lasts 12 weeks; teams practice 1 hour, twice/week. At the end of the 12 weeks there is a 5k.

Location: varies (based on volunteer and patient location)

Restrictions: Volunteers be at least 18 years or older. Volunteers MUST be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
