Bin Ambassador at Leveling the Playing Field

  • Posted 1 year ago

Leveling the Playing Field is seeking volunteers to be bin ambassadors all over Maryland!

Leveling the Playing Field gives underprivileged children the opportunity to enjoy the mental and physical benefits of youth sports participation. They do this through the donation of used and excess sporting equipment to programs and schools serving low income communities. Their donations allow programs to allocate funds saved by lowering registration fees, expanding their scholarship programs, enhancing the existing athletic program or developing new ones.

Volunteers will adopt a donation bin in their neighborhood/community and then will bring that bin to the Leveling the Playing Field Warehouse (in Hampden) to clean, organize, and donate the items.

Commitment: 3 hours per week, once/month
Location: Baltimore City/Downtown (Hampden neighborhood), various communities throughout Maryland
Restrictions: Volunteers be able to lift 20+ pounds and have access to car (car must be able to fit bags of athletic gear). Volunteer ages can range from 5 (with parent/guardian supervision) to 16 (without parent/guardian supervision).
