Art Room Volunteers at Helping Up Mission

Helping Up Mission is a 24/7 shelter in the Jonestown neighborhood of Baltimore City for men, women, and children experiencing addiction, homelessness, or poverty.

Volunteers are needed to assist with the art room at the Center for Women & Children. Tasks include:

  • leading/teaching a specific art workshop or guiding clients through a project with the current inventory in the art room (donations of art materials are welcome with approval)
  • managing supplies and ensuring that only completed projects leave the art room
  • working with clients to keep the art room clean and safe

Commitment: Thursday afternoons (2:15-4:45pm); one-time or ongoing opportunities available

Location: Baltimore City/Downtown (Jonestown neighborhood)

Restrictions: Volunteers must be at least 18 years old and complete a background check. Volunteers must identify as female. Familiarity with a sewing or Cricut machine preferred but not required. Maximum of 4 volunteers allowed.
