PLAY:
The Game of Life: Engaging People through Games

Meet at the Weinberg Park Heights JCC, 5700 Park Heights Ave
Volunteers will spend the afternoon playing games with residents at Weinberg Park Assisted Living. Volunteers will also have the opportunity to work with other service organizations during the week, including The Baltimore Station. Teens are welcome to bring games to share with participants.
Super Kids Camp: A Reading Enrichment Program
July 9-13, July 16-20, July 23-27, and July 30-August 3rd 2012
8:30am-3:30pm
Located at Roland Park Country School, 5204 Roland Ave Baltimore
Pick up and drop off will be at Roland Park Country School
Volunteers will assist classroom instructors with reading exercises and daily camp activities for Baltimore City Public School students. Students are 1st and 2nd graders.
PLANT:
Kayam Farms: Environmental Education and Farming
June 18-22, June 25-29, 2012
8:30a.m.-4:00p.m.
Located at 5425 Mt. Gilead Rd. Reisterstown, MD 21136
Pick up and drop off will be at Kayam Farm, unless otherwise noted. Carpool options are available.
Volunteers will learn about Jewish agriculture and the value of food while taking part in the planting cycle of the farm.
Teens will also visit and work in community gardens throughout Baltimore.
PAINT:
Mural Project: The Baltimore Station
August 6-10, August 13-17, 2012

Meet at the Weinberg Park Heights JCC, 5700 Park Heights Ave
Volunteers will learn about and interact with the residents at The Baltimore Station, a recovery house for men, most of whom were veterans, who are transitioning from the cycle of poverty, substance abuse, and homelessness, to self-sufficiency. With the mission in mind, volunteers with work with the residents to create and paint a mural.
Requirements:
• Jewish teens 14-18-years-old during the 2012-2013 school year
• Live in the greater Baltimore area
• Have a means of transportation to and from camp
Program Components:
• Gain community service hours; complete your service
requirements before the school years starts
• Meet other teens in the Baltimore area and create a community
of service
• Engage in hands-on community service projects
• Choose the weeks that are convenient for you; participate in
just one week or all nine weeks
• The camp, unless otherwise noted, will meet at the Weinberg
Park Heights Jewish Community Center
Registration Fee:
• $160/week
• Special discount: Register for more than one week of camp and
get a $20 per week discount.
