transformative experience.

As a Diller Baltimore Teen Fellow, you will be part of
a prestigious national program and can look forward
to these exciting opportunities:
• Creating and implementing a hands-on community
service initiative
• Serving as an ambassador to the teen community,
creating and marketing volunteer opportunities to
your peers
• Developing leadership skills
• Hosting Israeli teens from Ashkelon in Baltimore
• Volunteering and learning in Israel
• Forging powerful relationships with a diverse group
of North American and Israeli teens
• Enhancing your Jewish identity
Requirements:
• Be a Jewish teen entering the 11th grade during the
2012-2013 school year
• Live in the Greater Baltimore area
• Submit an application and one reference form
Program Components:
• Opening retreat on Sunday, August 26, 2012 at the Pearlstone Conference & Retreat Center
• Development and implementation of service projects in
the community
• Two Shabbatons at the Pearlstone Conference & Retreat Center
• Ten leadership development seminars on Sunday evenings
from 4:30-8:30 p.m.
• Twelve-day Ashkelon teen exchange program in Baltimore,
including a weekend retreat
• Additional parent-and-teen joint programs
• Three-week summer seminar in Israel
• Closing retreat and program in fall 2013

Diller Baltimore Teen Fellows is generously sponsored by Jewish Volunteer
Connection, a program of THE ASSOCIATED’s Center for Community
Engagement and Leadership, THE ASSOCIATED’s Baltimore-Ashkelon
partnership and the Helen Diller Family Foundation, a supporting foundation
of the Jewish Community Endowment Fund of San Francisco. Each fellow
receives a $6,000 subsidy, resulting in a cost of $2,900 to the participant.
Program fees help defray administration and program costs.
